Abstract: Liangyou 180 was a new hybrid rice variety with high quality and high yield, which was bred from the combination of sterile line N15S and restorer line Nanhui 180 by Fujian Nanping Agricultural Science Research Institute, Wuyishan Kelixing Seed Industry Co., Ltd., Fujian Junhe Biological Technology Co., Ltd.. It was approved by the National Crop Variety Examination and Approval Committee (No. 20200166) in 2020. From 2019 to 2020, Liangyou 180 was introduced to Jianyang District of Fujian Province as a demonstration planting of mid-season rice. The trial planting showed the characteristics of good shape of plant and leaf, regular population, moderate mature period, large panicles and many grains, high yield, stable yield and wide adaptability. The yield performance, characteristics and high-yield cultivation techniques of Liangyou 180 were introduced in this paper, which provided reference for its popularization in Jianyang District.
