Abstract: A new chewing sugarcane variety “Longheiguozhe” was co-bred by Longjin Crop Genetic Resources Institute, Sugarcane Research Institute, Fujian Academy of Agricultural Sciences and Suban Agricultural Technique Extension Station. “Longheiguozhe” had good characteristics of high yield, high quality, disease resistance and strong adaptability and was approved by the Variety Examining and Approving Committee of Fujian Province in March, 2014. This paper introduced the breeding course, breeding results, characteristics and main cultivation techniques of “Longheiguozhe”.
