Abstract: A regional testing of new sweet potato varieties was conducted at Xibing Town, Fu’an City of Fujian Province in 2012, in order to identify and screen some varieties which suitable to be planted in eastern Fujian area, The results showed that, among 9 tested new varieties, the fresh yield, dry yield, starch yield of “Funingzi No.4” were the highest with yields of 3290.0 kg, 748.7 kg and 471.0 kg per 667 m² respectively, and increased by 29.0%, 21.3% and 25.3% to compare with Jinshan57 as control.
