Preliminary report of screening test for the new cherry tomato varieties

Screening test of four new cherry tomato varieties were conducted in order to select the fruits and vegetables varieties suitable for the greenhouse cultivation in Jiangle County. The results showed that “Strawberry”, “Summer sunshine” and “CT27” were suitable for the popularization in greenhouse cultivation in Jiangle because of their characters of high yield, homogeneous and moderate fruit grain, good color, and easy to store and transport. Black tomato was proved to be low yield, thin peer, juicy pulp and serious fruit cracking, and hard to store and transport, but could be planted within small scale in local area owing to its special color and rich nutrition, and welcomed by local customers.
