    Efficacy trial of 3 molluscicides on controlling apple snail (Ampullaria gigas spix) in paddy field

    • Efficacy experiments of 3 molluscicides, i.e. Metaldehyde, Niclosamide ethanolamine, and Metal on controlling apple snail in paddy field were conducted. The results showed that ideal controlling efficiency on the apple snail and seedling-protection effect were received with 6% Metaldehyde GR 500 g, 5% Metal GR 600 g, and 50% Niclosamide ethanolamine WP 60 g per 667 m2. The efficacy was over 90% at 7th day after drug application, and above 94 at 14th day. The seedling loss rate at 14 th day after drug application with above 3 molluscicides were only 1.29%, 0.83%, 0.92%, respectively, which could be all applied in the control of apple snail in paddy field.
