A propagation trial of Ulmus parvifolia jacq using woodened branch cuttings

A propagation trial of Ulmus parvifolia jacq using woodened branch cuttings at different branch sections and in various substrates was carried out. The result showed that among the 4 given substrates,the rooting rate in the substrate with yellow soil was the highest, reached 81.67%; different branch sections of woodened branch cuttings have significant effect on rooting rate, low part of branches was the best, the rooting rate was up to 83.33%.
