Effects of nano-TiO2/chitosan coating antibacterial paper on preservation of Nanguo pear

Abstract
Samples of Nanguo pear were treated by water cleaning, paper packing and nano-TiO2/chitosan coating antibacterial paper packing respectively, and then stored for a certain period before sending it for determination of sensory and physiological indices. The results showed that when packed with nano-TiO2/chitosan coating antibacterial paper, Nanguo pear could preserve at small weight-losing rate and moderate water content, decrease fruit-yellowing rate, prevent fruit from rotting, and effectively keep good taste of Nanguo pear.
