Abstract
Cycad seeds were treated by low temperature and chemicals. The results showed that: the seeds treated by covering with low-temperature sands and 98% concentrated sulfuric acid can both promote the cycads seed germination early and increase germination rate. Among them: cycad seeds of cold sand storage could germinate earliest and advanced by 104d than cold water seed (control), and increased germination rate by 58.89 percentage point. Seed germination rate treated by 98% concentrated sulfuric acid was the highest, accounted for 71.11%, which promote 68.33 percentage point than that of cold water and can be induced to sprout earlier by 99 days.
