Abstract
In this paper, control efficacy of some types of Chinese herbal medicines or extracts from Chinese herbal medicine to control Cryptocryon irritans were studied. The results showed that there was no insecticidal efficacy when 25-800 mg/L Sophora flavescens, Agrimonia pilosa, Brucea javanica, Piper cubeba, Quisqualis indica and Melia azedarach were used for 4h. When 200 mg/L, 400 mg/L and 800 mg/L dihydroartemisinin were used for 3h, there was no insecticidal efficacy while used for over 3h, mortality exceeded 50%. When 200 mg/L and 400 mg/L Celastrus angulatus were used for 10min, some larva died while they were used for 4h, mortality reached 100%. When 800 mg/L Celastrus angulatus was used for 10min, some larva died while they were used for 2h, death rate reached 100%. There was insecticidal efficacy when over 40 mg/L Cyrtomium fortunei was used. When 40 mg/L Cyrtomium fortunei was used for 10min, mortality exceeded 50% while death rate reached 100% when 40 mg/L Cyrtomium fortunei for 2h, 200 mg/L Cyrtomium fortunei for 1h, 400 mg/L and 800 mg/L Cyrtomium fortunei for 10min were used. The above results indicated that there was best insecticidal efficacy when Cyrtomium fortunei was used, Celastrus angulatus ranked the second best insecticidal efficacy. So, Cyrtomium fortunei and Celastrus angulatus had medicinal development value targeted to Cryptocryon irritans.
