    A preliminary report on chia seed trial in Sanming City

    • In this paper, growth and development habit of chia seed in Sanming City were obtained via through 2-year trial cultivation. Moreover, it was confirmed that the end of July was the most suitable sowing time to avoid harms. The squaring period was in the beginning of October and then the blooms appeared. The harvest was conducted from the end of November to the beginning of December. The seed yield reached 46 kg per 667 m2.
