    Research progress in health-caring function and its application of rose

    • Rose is rich in protein, fat, starch, amino acids and vitamins and other nutrients, and has very high nutritional value. Also rose contains active ingredients of flavonoids and polysaccharide, and has the health-caring functions of antioxidant, antibacterial, antitumor, reducing blood lipid, anti-aging effects, etc. In this paper the nutritional value and health-caring function of rose and the application status of its related products in the fields of cosmetics, food and health care were introduced, and the industry development prospect were forecasted.
