Development and management of Fujian Bacillus Resource Collection Center

Fujian Bacillus Resource Collection Center is an exclusive Bacillus germplasm repository. Intelligentized information management system was used to develop Bacillus resource collection based on soil resource collection in the B/S mode with the Ajax technology and strain collection based on SQL Server. As much as 15 800 soil samples and 34 892 Bacillus strains were collected during 19942016. Meanwhile, on the basis of EIP information management platform, the website on Fujian Bacillus Resource Collection Center was developed and integrated with all related Bacillus resources including soil, strains, morphology, physiology, biochemistry, gene, fatty acid, substrate, enzymology and historical documents to realize computerization management and external information share.
