Preliminary report on trial performance of special new sweetpotato varieties in south area (Longyan)

Results of National Regional Test of Special Sweetpotato Varieties in the south China area (Longyan) in 2015 were analyzed. The results showed that fresh yield of "Longzi No.6" and "Fushu 404" of ten tested sweetpotato varieties were higher than the control with very significant difference, and the comprehensive performance were good, proving suitable for planting in west region of Fujian; anthocyanin content of "Guangzishu No.9" and "Longzi No.6" reached the standard of high anthocyanin content of purple sweetpotato; Fushu 404, "Guangzishu No.9" and "Longzi No.6" were identified resistant to both bacterial wilt and fusarium wilt under indoor condition.
