    • In this paper,growth characteristics,photosynthetic characteristics,flowering and pod bearing characteristics of peanut cv.‘Quanhua 551’ were studied with‘Yueyou 551-116’ as control.The result showed that flowering amount of‘Quanhua 551’ was moderate and was mostly flowering at the early stage.‘Quanhua 551’ showed high fertile flower rate and formed peg rate,high content of leaf chlorophyll,large leaf area index,high net assimilation rate and especially maintained high economic coefficient in the middle-late period.
