Determination of mercury, arsenic and selenium in Moringa tea by atomic fluorescence spectrometry method with the samples dissolved in aqua regia

    • Mercury, arsenic and selenium in Moringa tea were determined by atomic fluorescence spectrometry method with the samples dissolved in aqua regia. The results show that:The mercury and arsenic residue in Moringa tea were 0.0144 and 0.3270 mg/kg respectively, which conformed to the national quality safety requirements of heavy metal residue in tea.The selenium content in Moringa tea was 0.1350 mg/kg,which belonged to the selenium-rich food compared with tea.The method of mercury, arsenic and selenium determination in Moringa tea by atomic fluorescence spectrometry with the samples dissolved in aqua regia was a kind of feasible methods of heavy metal element in food which showed advantages of high precision, good accuracy, high sensitivity, less interference, and simple operation.
