Effects of different stocks on growth, yield and quality of seedless watermelon

In this paper, effects of different stocks on growth, yield and quality of small-sized seedless watermelon were studied. The results showed that‘Changhu No.1’ grafted on'Motong No.2’ and‘Qianggen’ grafted on‘Motong No.2’ had remarkable comprehensive performance of growth vigor, yield and quality. The grafting survival rate of these two combinations reached over 95%. No disease occurred. Their yield was higher than that of control by 17.0% and 16.5%, respectively. Their soluble solids reached 11.8% and 11.7% respectively, with good commodity.
