    Preliminary study on deratization using poison bait station

    • Deratization technologies, using poison bait station and no-packing bait, were compared in Ganshupu operation area of Heping Farm, Yunxiao, in 2016. The results showed that the deratization efficacy of poison bait station was 87.67% and 77.60% in orchard, respectively, after bait allocation for 15 d and 150 d, 83.84% and 68.64% in farmhouse; and those of no-packing bait allocation was 80.83%, 9.92% in orchard, and 80.42%, 13.50% in farmhouse. It indicated that the deratization effect of poison bait station was better than that no-packing bait, the bait was not easily eaten by mistake by non-target animals, and could be widely used for deratization of farming area.
