Present status and countermeasures of soil and water erosion in Fujian Province

In this paper, we analyzed present status and causes of soil and water erosion in Fujian Province. Aiming at the faced opportunities and challenges in research on soil and water erosion in Fujian Province, eight concrete measures were also proposed as following:strengthening organization and leadership of scientific works on soil and water erosion, enhancing construction of innovation ability, developing close and high efficient cooperation system of science and technology development, intensifying propaganda on popular science of water-soil conservation legality, developing management model of conservation of water and soil deeply integrated with industry, university and research, screening and popularizing a set of advanced appropriate techniques, improving talent team construction and advancing international exchange and cooperation between Fujian Province and Taiwan.
