Ideas of breeding mechanical harvesting vine-vegetable sweet potato

In this paper breeding targets of mechanical harvesting vine-vegetable sweet potato were investigated and some detailed ideas were also proposed including adaptability, edible quality, appearance quality, resistance to diseases and ideal plant types for mechanical harvesting. Growth mode of varieties which is suitable to mechanical harvesting was proposed. The paper also summarized characterization of mechanical harvesting vine-vegetable sweet potato cv. ‘Fucaishu No.22’, a cultivar authorized by the state.
