    Study on cucumber seedbed substrate prepared by pigsty pad after microbial fermentation

    • The coconut coir, cottonseed hull, bran and peat were selected and mixed respectively with fermented pigsty pad to prepare the cucumber seedbed substrate. The results showed that the most suitable raw materials was coconut bran, followed by cottonseed hull, and the seed germination rate of cucumber was more than 95%, which was no significant difference with the control of peat (P>0.05). And the best formula for the substrate of pigsty pad: coconut bran was 3:7 with the emergence rate 100% and the seedling rate 95.83%, and the seedling height, stem diameter and root length were better than other proportioning table, and there was no significant differences with the control of peat (P>0.05).
