    Study on cadmium-enriching characteristics of different potato varieties

    • Situation of heavy metal cadmium absorption in different organs of 11 potato varieties was studied. The results showed that a bigger difference in cadmium content of tested potato varieties was found in root, stem and leaf, the cadmium content in root system was the highest (1.3045 mg/kg), followed by the stem (0.8253 mg/kg) and leaf (0.5533 mg/kg), the lowest content was in tuber flesh (0.0519 mg/kg); The cadmium-enriching coefficients of root, stem and leaf in all tested potato varieties were higher. The risk of cadmium pollution can be reduced by the variety of Zhong shu 3, N108 and Zihua 851.
