    Primary study on duck adenovirus 2 infection resulted in Muscovy ducklings' pale liver disease

    • Since 2015, an unknown epidemic disease was being emerged in Muscovy duck flocks in Fujian Province of China. The dead ducklings' livers were swelling, brittle and pale, scattered much hemorrhagic spot on the surface, This disease was named "Pale liver disease" according the autopsy features. Basing on etiology screening, epidemiological investigation and artificial infection studies, the pathogen of this disease was a duck adenovirus 2-related adenovirus, which is different from EDSV and avian adenovirus serotype 4.
