    A preliminary report on comparative test of four new edible-type cassava varieties

    • A trial planting of four introduced edible-type cassava varieties was carried out in Changtai County, Zhangzhou City. The results showed that all tested varieties had strong adaptability and good agronomic characters. The yield of "SC9" was the highest, reaching 4.07 t per 667 m2 and was very significantly higher than that of other varieties.
