Abstract
In this paper, maize hybrid cultivar "Xianyu 335" (X-335) and hybrid cultivar "Zhengdan 958" (Z-958) were used as materials to study effects of far infrared on chlorophyll fluorescence in maize leaves. The results showed that under far infrared condition, amount of organic material and intercellular CO2 concentration in the leaf produced by photosynthesis, leaf transpiration rate, leaf stomatal conductance and photosynthetic electron transfer efficiency declined while efficiency of primary conversion of light energy of PSⅡand non-photochemical quenching coefficient rose. Photochemical quenching coefficient of "X-335" rose while that of "Z-958" declined. The photosystem function of both maize cultivars declined under far infrared condition.
