Test on different nursing technologies for Pleioblastus amarus plantation

A comparison test on different nursing technologies for Pleioblastus amarus plantation was conducted in 2011-2016 in order to study the effects of different treatments on quality and amount of newly sprouting plants of Pleioblastus amarus, bamboo shoot production, bamboo production, current bamboo quantity, and harm of bamboo shoot beetle. The results showed that the managing efficiency of Pleioblastus amarus plantation was the best when nursing by thinning in winter, keeping bamboo plants at 9000/hm², and deep tillage in winter, and it can also effectively control bamboo shoot beetle.
