A Simple Comparison Test of New Autumn Welsh Onion Varieties

A comparison test of ten introduced new welsh onion varieties was carried out. The results showed that ‘Tianjian D58’, ‘Tianfengyiben’ and ‘Yazhouchangyu’ had erect plant type, tolerance to high temperature and humidity, regular size, suitable stalk length and width, tight and solid texture, good commodity and good adaptability in local area. It was suitable to be planted in Zhangpu County and was a potential fresh and processing variety. So, it could be extended as autumn welsh onion cultivar in Zhangpu County.
