Introduction Performance and Protected Cultivation Techniques of Kiwano Melon (Cucumis metuliferus)

Kiwano melon was introduced and cultivated at greenhouse in Sanya City, Hainan Province, showing good economic benefits. This paper states plant, fruit and growth characteristics of kiwano melon, and summarized its key points of protected cultivation techniques, including seedling raising, transplanting, field management, fruit setting, harvest, control of diseases and pests and other matters of attention.
