A Preliminary Report on Comparison Test of Ten New Peanut Varieties (Lines) in Autumn

In order to breed new peanut varieties suitable to being planted in Fujian Province, a comparison test of ten new peanut varieties (or lines) bred by Oil Crop Research Institute, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University was carried out. The results showed that five peanut lines, including ‘12C1-2-CS1’, ‘12C1-2-3-1-CS1’, ‘12A1-29-1-1-CS1’, ‘12A-21-1-2-CSI’ and ‘12C1-6-1-2-CS1’, had higher yield than ‘Quanhua No.7’ as control by 22.59%, 11.85%, 5.16%, 6.42% and 3.07% respectively. All these five lines showed excellent comprehensive characters. Among these lines, ‘12C1-2-CS1’ and ‘12C1-2-3-1-CS1’ had best performance and could be further tested in production.
