Breeding and Cultivation Techniques of a New Peanut cv. ‘Shanyoufu No.1’

Peanut cv. ‘Shanyoufu No.1’ is a new high oil content and high yield cultivar bred from ‘Shanyou 212’ by using ⁶⁰Co radiation. In 2012 it entered the regional peanut test in Guangdong Province. The results showed that it had characteristics of high oil content and high yield and was suitable to plant in paddy-upland rotation soil. In June 2014, it was released by Guangdong Crops Variety Approval Committee. The paper introduced its breeding, planting performance and cultivation techniques from some aspects including field selection, sowing timely, management of fertilization and water and control of diseases, pests, weeds and rats.
