    High Yield and High Efficient Cultivation Techniques of High Quality Rice and Cauliflower with Paddy-Upland Rotation

    • Planting pattern of rice-vegetable rotation under paddy-upland cropping system is the main cultivation mode and an important method to improve crop yield and income for growers in Jian'ou City. High quality rice cv. ‘Taifengyou 3301’ had characteristics of regular plant population, moderate plant type, more tall plant height, good coloring at late period and high quality. Cauliflower cv. ‘Baiyu80 tian’ had characteristics of erect and larger plant type, dark green leaf color, loose and white curd with average weight of about 1000 g, wide adaptability, tolerance to cold and humidity, resistance to black rot and downy mildew and maturity after 85d of transplanting. Rice and cauliflower rotation for 80d could reduce occurrence of diseases and pests because of soaking in paddy water and increase the income than that of two-season rice by over one time. And it could provide simple planting procedures and reduce labor cost, so it is a good planting pattern to improve economic benefits for large-scale growers.
