Fractal Analysis of Suburban Land Use Types Based on GIS——Taking Xinfu Township in Nanchong as an Example

Using GIS technology and fractal theory, taking Xinfuxiang, Nanchong, Sichuan as the research area, the land use types were divided into seven categories:cultivated land, forest land, garden land, industrial and mining residential land, pit and pond water area, highway land and other land (including bare land), and the fractal dimension and stability of land use maps were analyzed. The results showed that the land use types of Xinfuxiang possessed the fractal structure, the fractal dimension of each land use was 1.08-1.27, and the stability index was 0.22-0.42. From small to large, the order was cultivated land, other land, forest land, garden land, pit and pond water area, and highway land.
