Abstract
In order to study the antioxidant activity of different aromatic plants, the antioxidant activity of 15 aromatic plants such as Pingyin rose, rosemary and lavender was determined by DPPH method with pure water, 95% ethanol and ethyl acetate as extractants. The results showed that the DPPH scavenging rates of 15 aromatic plant extracts by using different solvents were different. The DPPH scavenging rates of water extracts from 15 aromatic plants were lower than 95% ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts. At the concentration of 0.1 g·mL-1, the DPPH scavenging rates of Pingyin rose, coniferous rosemary and creeping rosemary of 95% ethanol and ethyl acetate extracts were higher than those of other aromatic plants, which had the potential to develop antioxidant products.
