Growth-promoting Effects of Non-pathogenic Fusarium Oxysporum as Biocontrol Agent on Tomato Plant

    • In order to evaluate growth-promoting effects of non-pathogenic Fusarium oxysporum as biocontrol agent on tomato plant, growth-promoting effects of non-pathogenic Fusarium oxysporum on seedling propagation and potted seedlings were studied. The results showed that adding 5% non-pathogenic Fusarium oxysporum as biocontrol agent into seedlings nurturing substrate could enhance growth of tomato seedlings. There was no significant difference of survival rate between adding 5% non-pathogenic Fusarium oxysporum and control, showing over 95%. Adding both 5% and 10% non-pathogenic Fusarium oxysporum into culturing substrate could enhance growth of potted tomato seedlings, while adding 15% and 20% non-pathogenic Fusarium oxysporum could inhibit growth of potted tomato.
