Screening of Culture Medium for Grifola Frondosa Cultivation with Five Kinds of JUNCAO Grass Powder

Five kinds of JUNCAO grass powder (Pennisetum purpureum, Pennisetum giganteum, Miscanthus floridulus, Dicranopteris dichotoma and Neyraudia reynaudiana) were used as test materials. Twenty-five formulas were preliminarily screened from mycelial growth rate and mycelial growth vigor by three-lever system screening method in order to obtain the best formula for cultivating Grifola frondosa. The results showed that the best formula for Grifola frondosa mycelium growth was 50% of Miscanthus floridulus, 28% of Dicranopteris dichotoma, 5% of wheat bran, 15% of Maize flour, 2% of gypsum, and 60% moisture content. The Grifola frondosa mycelium growth speed was up to 0.405 cm·d^-1. The percent conversion of Grifola frondosa fruit body can reached to 43.39%, which higher than other JUNCAO formulas.
