Abstract
Matrix, seed storage method, soaking concentration and soaking time of naphthalene acetic acid were selected as the factors to study seed germination of Ficus formosana with narrow leaf by L9(34) orthogonal test. The levels of matrix (A)3 were 100% loess, 50% loess+50% river sand and 100% river sand. The levels of seed storage method (B)3 were low temperature preservation of washed seeds, room temperature preservation of washed seeds and room temperature preservation of seeds in fruit. The concentrations of naphthalene acetic acid (C)3 were 100 mg·L-1, 200 mg·L-1 and 400 mg·L-1. The soaking time of naphthalene acetic acid (D)3 were 6, 12 and 24 h, respectively. The results showed that the four factors all had significant effects on the germination rate of Ficus formosana. The order of influence was seed storage method (B) > matrix (A) > soaking time of naphthalene acetic acid > soaking concentration of naphthalene acetic acid. The optimum condition for seed germination was that 100% loess as sowing medium, with the washed seeds storing at room temperature and soaking with 200 mg·L-1 naphthalene acetic acid for 12 h.
