Industrialized Artificial Breeding Technologies of Ruditapes Philippinarum Along the Coast of Fujian

Abstract
Ruditapes philippinarum are the main cultivated shellfish along the coast. Based on years of production practice and related research, a set of industrialized artificial breeding technologies of Ruditapes philippinarum was summarized. The key technologies of algae cultivation, parent oyster spawning induction, larvae cultivation, settlement and metamorphosis in the process of breeding,were explored. And three batches of breeding have used a total of 3 500 kg parent shellfish, spawned 33 billion eggs, selected 20 billion D-shaped larvae and 10 billion juvenile mollusks. Combined with the earthen pond cultivation in the late period, the production efficiency and yield of Ruditapes philippinarum larvae were greatly improved, which provided technical support for the extension and development of the complete artificial cultivation of Ruditapes philippinarum.
