Agronomic Characters and Yield Performance of 7 New Varieties of Super Sweet Corn in Guangxi

In order to select new varieties of fresh sweet corn suitable for planting in Guangxi, the field comparative experiments were carried out on 7 new varieties of super sweet corn. The results showed that Minshuangse No.6, Jiangtian 012, Zhongtian 228, Taixiantian No.2 and Yuetian 32 had better comprehensive characters and higher yield in Guangxi, in which especially Minshuanse No.6 and Taixiantian No.2 had great promising prospects in Guangxi. However, Cuitian 216 had serious lodging and low yield in Guangxi, and Nanyu No.1 had poor resistance and low yield in Guangxi, so the field experiments were suggested to be further carried out.
