    Introduction and Trial Planting of New Varieties of High-yield and Disease-resistant Peanut

    • In order to screen the new varieties of peanut which were suitable for planting in Shishi City with high yield, disease resistance and high quality, four new varieties of peanut were introduced and planted experimentally. Then, the yield, main agronomic traits, economic traits and resistance of each variety were investigated with Yueyou 40 as the control group. The results showed that the pod yield and seed kernel yield of Quanhua 551 and Quanhonghua No.1 were higher, and the yields of the two varieties were significantly higher than that of the control Yueyou 40. As the comprehensive characters showed better, they were recommended to be further demonstrated and extended. While the yield increase of the two varieties like Quanhua 27 and Zhongkaihua No.1 was relatively smaller than that of the control Yueyou 40, they were recommended to be further planted in a small area for demonstration and selected according to the local conditions.
