    • As an important part of biotechnology, food biotechnology is an important subject in the application of biotechnology in raw-food material production, processing and manufacturing. As one of the most promising frontier technologies in the field of food industry, food biotechnology is of great significance to effectively change the economic growth mode of China's food industry and realize the sustainable development of the food industry. By summarizing and reviewing the first national conference on food biotechnology, a brief overview was given on the latest progress in the topics of "food probiotics and their applications" "the second carbohydrase seminar" "food microbiology, fermentation and brewing" "food storage and preservation processing" "food nutrition and biotechnology" and "food safety and biotechnology", and the future research direction of food biotechnology was also prospected in order to provide reference for the research of food biotechnology.
