    Effects of Soil Conditioner on Soil Physical and Chemical Properties and Potato Yield

    • In order to improve the acidic soil in Shouning County, an experiment on applying the soil conditioner to potatoes was carried out in 2019, in order to study the effect of soil conditioner on the yield benefit of potato and the soil physical and chemical properties. The results showed that the application of soil conditioner could increase the pH value of soil by 0.09-0.21 units, reduce the latent acid by 1.02-1.53 cmol·kg-1, promote the release of soil available nutrients, and increase the content of nutrients such as the soil organic matter, available potassium and so on to different degrees. The yield of potato treated with 100 kg soil conditioner per 667 m2 increased by 295.60 kg compared with that of the control group, which reached an extremely significant level and increased by 491 yuan.
