Introduction and Identification of New Peanut Varieties with High Yield and High Quality in Quanzhou

In order to screen out the high-yield and good quality peanut varieties suitable for being planted in Quanzhou area, a comparative test was conducted on the 11 introduced new peanut varieties. The results showed that Yueyou 1822, Minhua No.16 and Yueyou 1823 ranked the top three in yield. Compared with the control variety Quanhua No.7, the yield increased by 23.09%, 18.39% and 17.65%, respectively, showing a significant increase in production. The protein content of Fuhua 0830, Fuhua 0901, Longhua 166, Yueyou 1822 and Yueyou 1823 were 29.64%, 28.39%, 28.54%, 28.32% and 28.08%, respectively, which met the national high protein standard (28%). Based on the yield, agronomic and quality characteristics of each variety, Yueyou 1822, Minhua No.16 and Yueyou 1823 could be selected for the small-scale demonstration test. Fuhua 0830, Fuhua 0901, Longhua 166, Yueyou 1822 and Yueyou 1823 could be used as the high protein materials.
