    Introduction and Screening of New Cherry Tomato Varieties for Soilless Cultivation in Greenhouses in Western Fujian

    • In order to screen out the new varieties of cherry tomatoes suitable for the soilless cultivation in greenhouses in northern Fujian, by taking Qianxi as the control group, four new varieties of cherry tomatoes at home and abroad were introduced, and the soilless cultivation and screening tests were carried out in the vegetable greenhouses of Longyan Institute of Agricultural Sciences. The phenological period plant characters, fruit characters, yield characters and disease resistance of the tested varieties were analyzed and compared. The results showed that the agronomic characters of Betty were general and the yield was significantly lower than that of the control group, so it was not suitable for the local popularization. The yield of Mansina was significantly higher than that of the control group. The harvest period was long, but the taste and flavor of Mansina met the needs of the minority, so it was suitable for the small-scale planting in vegetable greenhouses in western Fujian. Alu (72-193) and Sn-Jinzhu had good comprehensive characteristics, such as high quality, high yield, good disease resistance, sweet taste, etc., which were suitable for the soilless cultivation of vegetable greenhouses in western Fujian, and had good promotional value.
