    Identification and Evaluation of the Resistance of 43 Luffa Cylindrica Germplasm Resources to Fusarium Wilt

    • In order to breed the new varieties of Luffa cylindrica with strong disease resistance, 43 germplasm resources of Luffa cylindrica were collected from home and abroad by the research team, and the method of indoor artificial inoculation was used to identify and evaluate their resistance to fusarium wilt. The results showed that: the 6 germplasm resources of Luffa cylindrica including Chunqiu ⊕21/ baizi, 2012-2-1-⊕5 xuan, 2012-2-4-⊕9-5, Qimei-⊕10, 2012-2-1-⊕5 xuan, and 2012-2-4-⊕9-5 showed high resistance to fusarium wilt; the 21 germplasm resources of Luffa cylindrica, such as Sanyexiangnen ⊕20, Cuishuang -⊕19-2.5.6, Lvyou -⊕13/ shenlv, etc., showed resistance to fusarium wilt; the 12 germplasm resources of Luffa cylindrica, such as Taiwan -⊕8, Mingjiaduansigua ⊕4, and 2012-2-⊕3 xuan, etc., showed moderate resistance to fusarium wilt; and the 4 germplasm resources of Luffa cylindrica, such as Japan Zaozawang⊕11, 2012-2-⊕1-2.3, and 09-1-⊕1, etc., were susceptible to fusarium wilt. Based on the above analysis, 27 of the 43 germplasm resources of Luffa cylindrica showed higher resistance to fusarium wilt, accounting for 62.8% of the total.
