Introduction and Selection of New Cauliflower Varieties Cultivated in Open Field in High Mountain Areas of East Fujian

Abstract
In order to select the varieties of cauliflower suitable for the open field cultivation in high mountain areas of East Fujian, by taking Qingnong 65 days as the control group, the comparative experiments were conducted on the botanical characters, disease resistance and yield of the four introduced new varieties of cauliflower. The results showed that in consideration of botanical characters, disease resistance, yield, commodity and so on comprehensively, Ruixue 65 days and Ruixue 75 days performed better, with strong plant growth, strong disease resistance, neat ball-flower, beautiful appearance, good commodity and higher yield, which increased 59.0% and 50.6% respectively compared with that of Qingnong 65 days, and the comprehensive characters were better than that of other tested varieties, so they were suitable for the open field cultivation in high mountain areas of East Fujian.
