Selection and Comprehensive Evaluation of the Varieties of Pterocladia Tenuis in Summer and Autumn in Fuzhou

In order to speed up the popularization and application of the new varieties of hybrid Pterocladia tenuis, enrich the varieties of Pterocladia tenuis in Fuzhou, and screen out new varieties of Pterocladia tenuis to meet the needs of the market, the variety comparison experiment on the nine introduced varietie of Pterocladia tenuis was carried out. Through the comprehensive evaluation of the agronomic characters, yield, quality and resistance to downy mildew of the tested varieties, the results showed that the varieties of Jinpin Jimaocai No.3, Fuqing No.5 and Jinpin Qingsong grew strong and in order. The yield of Jinpin Jimaocai No.3 was the highest (13 235.3 kg·hm^-2), which was 40.6% higher than that of the control group Jinpin Jimaocai No.2. Fuqing No.5 and Jinpin Qingsong were followed by 12 647.1 kg·hm^-2 and 12 352.9 kg·hm^-2, respectively, which were 34.4% and 31.2% higher than those of Jinpin Jimaocai No.2, respectively. Compared with the control group, Jinpin Jimaocai No.3, Fuqing No.5 and Jinpin Qingsong had extremely significant yield increase. In terms of the resistance to downy mildew, the disease indexes of Fuqing No.5, Jinpin Qingsong, Jinpin Jimaocai No.4 and Jinpin Jimaocai No.3 were 5.52, 6.84, 7.78 and 8.29, respectively, which were shown as immunity. In conclusion, the three varieties of Pterocladia tenuis with good commodity, high yield, good resistance and excellent comprehensive performance, such as Jinpin Jimaocai No.3, Fuqing No.5 and Jinpin Qingsong, were selected, which were suitable to be planted in summer and autumn in Fuzhou.
