Abstract
In order to screen out the high-quality muskmelon varieties suitable for being planted in northern Fujian, 13 muskmelon varieties were introduced for the hydroponic comparative experiment, and the agronomic characters and fruit quality of each variety were compared and analyzed. The results showed that the fruit of Pingguomi was large, with good appearance, high soluble solid content in the center and edge, crisp flesh and outstanding comprehensive performance, which could be used as the preferred variety, while Changxiangyu had the highest plant, the largest number of nodes, and strong disease resistance, whose yield was second only to that of Pingguomi, with long oval fruit shape, waxy taste, and thin mesh, so the fruit farmers could choose the variety according to its characteristics and market demand.
