Abstract
In order to select the superior families of Sapindus mukorossi, the survey data of 12-year-old trees in 46 families of Sapindus mukorossi were analyzed. The results showed that: There were some genetic variations in the tree height, the diameter at breast height and crown width of Sapindus mukorossi in the high altitude area of northeast Fujian, among which the genetic variation of tree height was the greatest. There were very significant differences in the tree height and the diameter at breast height among the families of Sapindus mukorossi, and there were significant differences in the crown width. The heritability of tree height and DBH of Sapindus mukorossi were significantly greater than that of crown width. Then, eight superior families were selected through the experiments. The average genetic gains of tree height, diameter at breast height and crown width were 12.2%, while the average gains of tree height, diameter at breast height and crown width were 10.8%, 17.2% and 8.5%, respectively. At the same time, it had better comprehensive economic indicators such as more ears, dense fruit grains, uniform distribution of fruit-bearing branches and good yield potential, which could be used for the production.
