Abstract
In order to explore the suitable planting pattern of the sweet potato variety Fushu 604 in eastern Fujian, the effects of plastic film mulching and planting density on the agronomic characters and yield characters of Fushu 604 were studied by using the two-factor randomized block design experiment. The results showed that the plastic film mulching and planting density had different effects on the agronomic characters such as the number of branches, the weight of vines and the length of vines of Fushu 604, and yield characters such as the tuber weight per plant, tuber number per plant, dry matter rate and starch rate. When the planting density was 52 500 plants·hm-2 and under the conditions of black film mulching, the yield of fresh potato, dried potato and starch of Fushu 604 was 45 250.00 kg·hm-2, 13 105.35 kg·hm-2 and 8 180.62 kg·hm-2, respectively, which was higher than those of other treatments. The correlation analysis showed that in order to obtain the higher yield of fresh potato, dried potato and starch, the reasonable growth of its aboveground part should be controlled, and the relationship between the vegetative growth and reproductive growth should be regulated. In summary, when Fushu 604 was planted in eastern Fujian, the planting density should be appropriately increased on the basis of the local traditional planting density, combined with the black film mulching technology, thus to achieve the high yield.
