Adaptability Evaluation of 35 Local Germplasm Resources of Chinese Yam in Fujian Province

In order to screen the local germplasm resources of Chinese yam with high quality in Fujian Province, 35 local germplasm resources of Chinese yam in Fujian Province were identified and evaluated. The results showed that the 35 local germplasm resources of Chinese yam in Fujian Province had great differences in characters and rich genetic diversity. According to the comprehensive analysis of yield, botanical characters, disease resistance, taste, resistance to browning and commodity of the tested Chinese yam, the four Chinese yam resources, such as Bangzhuangshu, Yongxingdashu, Ziweihuaishan and Qinfenghuaishan, had better performance. The plants grew strong, and were resistant to anthracnose, not easy to browning, with high yield, good taste and excellent quality, which were suitable for the cultivation in Dehua County and the surrounding areas.
