Abstract
This paper aimed to use the MODIS remote sensing data set to analyze the temporal and spatial variation and diversification factors of vegetation coverage in the study area in the past 19 years. The research showed that: (1) In the recent 19 years, the vegetation coverage in Guangxi was higher on the whole, and the spatial distribution was characterized by higher in the periphery and lower in the middle. (2) From 2001 to 2019, FVC showed an increasing tendency, and the area of the increasing tendency accounted for 61.50%. The raising rate was 0.091 per 10 years, and the fluctuation was relatively stable. (3) According to the partial correlation results of temperature, precipitation and FVC, there was a correlation between vegetation coverage and climatic factors. The temperature increased at a rate of 0.38℃ every 10 years, and the precipitation decreased slowly. The influence of precipitation and temperature on the vegetation coverage had spatial heterogeneity. With the increase of altitude, the vegetation coverage increased first and then decreased. The slope aspect had a great influence on the layout of vegetation types. The sunny slope was mainly dominated by forest land types, while the shady slope was mainly dominated by grassland and forest land types. The vegetation coverage changed significantly at different slopes. When the slope was less than 15°, the vegetation coverage was higher, and when the slope was larger, the vegetation coverage decreased. (4) With the change of land use types, there was significant difference in the vegetation coverage. The area converted to forestland and grassland and the vegetation coverage increased year by year, while the vegetation coverage of cultivated land increased first and then decreased.
